So, while ABC (the All Bush Channel) was airing its piece of wrong-wing bullshit tonight, CBS was airing an amazing piece of truth about the same subject: 9/11, narrated by Robert DeNiro. Amazing story with amazing footage, shot by two brothers who happened to be filming a documentary on FDNY firefighters that morning. One of the brothers was in the first tower when it was hit, camera rolling. The other brother was with a group of firefighters from the same firehouse, getting the outside view. Very moving, astounding film. Shame on ABC and kudos to CBS.
To be very clear, I don’t say shame on ABC for refusing to pull its piece-of-shit propaganda piece. It was a bad day when CBS pulled The Reagans due to outside wrong-wing pressure, and it would have been bad for ABC to do the same thing tonight.
The shame, in my opinion, is that the All Bush Channel decided to solemnize September 11th by making a film, penned by a republican, to point fingers and play partisan politics. In fairness, I did not watch The Path to 9/11, so all I am going on is what I have read about it.
But I don’t need to watch the film to know that telling a story of blame, punctuated with lies and fictions isn’t the way to remember the heroes and honor the dead of that day.

AMEN!
The CBS showing was a well done piece! One that ran several years back.
