Oh Lordy

December 16, 2006 · 6 Comments

One just never knows who’s going to be reading one’s blog. At rehearsal the other evening, the director of the show I’m in, Ron, let me know that he had read the post (below) where I talk about not having much to do in the show I’m currently in. Apparently, he had come upon my blog just by googling the title of the show. And he now also knows all about last weekend’s sexcapades with my ex and his new hubby, too, which I got gently teased about. And he also changed one of the chorus numbers and made it into basically a duet for me and a woman in the show, so that I’d have more to do.

I’m flattered that he was concerned enough about my feelings to do that, but I fear the whole thing may have quite irritated our musical director, who had already rehearsed the number as a chorus song. The upshot, though, is that I know all the folks well and they are crazy-talented (Ron and Alan L.) and the show is going to turn out great with them behind the helm.

I can see now why most of you bloggers keep it pretty “G” rated on your blogs and don’t talk about your naughty bits as much as I have. You just never know who’s going to be reading!

Well, that’s all for now. I think I’m going to call up my best fuckbuddy and see if he wants to play….

Interesting weekend

December 11, 2006 · 6 Comments

My former partner and his current man came down from Vancouver, BC to visit this weekend. It was an interesting time. He is very different with Darren than he was with me…he seems to have calmed down and is far more relaxed.

They were very interested in having three-way sex, something that was unthinkable when we were together. Apparently they had tried two other times and it didn’t work out. It did work out for the three of us, though…without going into all the details, I was a happy smiling guy all weekend. I got a lot of what I like. Nuff said? Anyway…fun weekend.

I also got my first fancy computer moniter this weekend. I have just been using the small, old school moniter that came with the computer…my weekend guests were appalled. So we went out and picked up a 19 inch LCD flat panel moniter for me. I can’t get over how big, bright and gorgeous this thing is. I love it!

Rehearsals have begun in earnest for Whe*e’s Ch*rley the next show I’m appearing in. I’m playing Brasset, the butler, and this is smallest role I’ve ever had in a theatrical production, and the first time I really don’t even have any singing to do. My acting career seems to be diminshing and so - Tonight I start acting classes with a local actor/teacher. It’s a 10-week class and I am hoping to hone my skills and start branching out from the musical theater stage. I’m really looking forward to it! I’m supposed to keep a journal. I’ll probably be blogging a lot about it.

Let the right wing WHINING begin!

December 6, 2006 · 7 Comments

I love my mother, she is really wonderful. Best mom anyone ever had.
Only bad thing about my mom is that she’s a “rightie”. Bush-lovin’, right-wing Koolaid-drinker. And it’s really sad, because the only reason she subscribes to all that shit is based on religion. The truth is, if she were really paying attention and going by what her heart tells her, there’s no way she’d be a Republican. I like to tell her “You’re not really a Republican, you just aren’t paying attention.” That gets her dander up….because it’s the truth.

You see, she was raised to believe that it’s the man of the house, the husband that dictates what the wife thinks and believes. The bible says the women shall remain under the heel of the man, and, sadly, my mom believes that it’s God’s will that women be submissive like that. So sad…really sick. I keep working on her, though, because she really is a loving, wonderful lady. She just isn’t paying attention.

She sent me this email this morning. I sent it back to her, with my comments hilighted. Looks like the right wing are already being big crybabies and sore losers about November’s election. And trying to keep up this diversionary, divise “war on Christmas”.

“How the Left stole Christmas”

Twas the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand. - (Why would that be? Who’s keeping anyone from praying?
)

See the Politically Correct Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas - no one could say. (Really? Took away the reason for Christmas? No one can say the reason for Christmas? Huh….amazing.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things. (Really? Anyone can sing about anything they want to, anytime. Probably not during class, though. Aren’t their Jewish children in school too?)

It might hurt people’s feelings, the teachers would say (Would you like your Christian child to be forced to sing about Mohamed or Hannukah?)
December 25th is just a ” Holiday “. (Yeah, it’s a holiday….part of the holiday season. Other holidays being Kwanzaa and Hannukah and New Years and Thanksgiving. It’s the holiday season….the time of year we have a bunch of holidays. Holiday is a bad word?)
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it! (And this is “The Left’s” fault that people are rude? Maybe their in a bad mood because of this war that’s been going on for 4 years now)

CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa But not Christmas? Really? So…other people’s religions shouldn’t be promoted?
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda. (But no books about Christmas, apparently. Doesn’t Ann Coulter have a new book out? Bashing some more widows of 9/11 victims?)

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe’s the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny’s and Sears
You won’t hear the word Christmas; it won’t touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me. Or maybe educate you? Being inclusive and sensitive aren’t really bad things…..nor is recognizing that this is a diverse nation and not everyone is white or Christian.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !

At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter. Yeah, only republicans are Christian. I forgot.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith TOOK AWAY OUR FAITH? How in the world does someone take away your faith??
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace. Wow, this is really over the top….FORBIDDEN to speak of salvation and grace? That is just a ridiculous lie. No one in this country is forbidden to speak of their faith, and everyone knows it. What bullshit.

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded …aw, how sad. Why did Christians discard the Gift of Christmas? I don’t think we did that at my church…
The reason for the season, stopped before it started. Really. Wow. Huh…so it never started? It’s not the reason anymore?
So as you celebrate “Winter Break” under your “Dream Tree” Or, if you prefer, celebrate Christmas under your Christmas tree.
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say FORCE all those heathens to worship Jesus! DOWN with freedom of religion!
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday ! And if a Jew shouts back HAPPY HANNUKAH…?

WHAAAAAA….poor righties. I guess they won’t be having Christmas this year….it’s been stolen from them. Unless everyone is worshipping Jesus this time of year, they can’t either. So sad!
