My mom was here to help out before and after surgery for 6 days. She went home this morning, and Ill really miss her, but I had lots of help and company today. Friends came by to walk the dog, bring stuff I needed and make sure I had food to eat.
The reality of being unable to walk for so long is beginning to sink in…I really just have to be still and stay put! I’m going to have to do some form of exercise, at least, I’ll probably drag the dumbells out to the living room and lift those. I could do some crunchs to, I’m sure.

I had a major foot surgery today. The arch of my left foot, bones tendons and all had collapsed, causing me big pain and so today they basically reconstructed the whole left foot with bone grafts, and a screw and stuff. They broke the heel in half and moved it around.
Oooo this may be a bit of a loopy post…I’m on serious painkillers. Whoo hoo!
The surgery took for hours and I will be unable to walk for 7 weeks or so. Hope I don’t lay here and get massively fat! Actually, I guess I can’t get fat…just fatter.
My Mom came down yesterday from Sacrameoto…okay, she came UP…and will be here for several days to help take care of me. I have a pee bottle by the side of my bed and have drug my computer desk next to the bed….at my fingertips I have: My computer, my big TV, DVD, VCR, phone, and XBOX.
I think tomorrow morning is when the real pain is slated to start…the doctor used the word “excrutiating”. Fun! WHOO HOO
I have lots of oxycodone.
SO that’s what is happening in the land of CityWOOF currently. I have had to stop working because of having to have this surgery. That sucks, but in 7 weeks, I’ll begin looking for something new.
I am going to be counting on friends to come by and take the dog out for me and get food into me for awhile…I feel pretty confident that that will happen. I have good people in my life.
So, if you think about it, send some good energy my way, ok?
One good thing is that I’ll have lots of time to get back into my blogging!
