45, old and sick, Sash Bash

February 29, 2008 · 4 Comments

My clock turned over on Saturday and I’m now 45.  Spent the day, and the several days beforehand, sick with “the Crud” that’s been crawling around everywhere.  Finally started to feel better…then it came at me again.  Evil!   I’m back at the feeling sort of better phase again, which is a good thing because

SASH BASH

I’ve been invited to attend the 2nd annual Northwest Sash Bash this Fri-Sun, an event that is really intended for Leather Community titleholders, but they have decided to include a bear or two as well….like me!   The first one was held in Portland last year, and I was a performer at the event.  This year I’m an attendee.  The idea of Sash Bash is that titleholders work hard all during their title year hosting events and planning fundraisers and need a night off to just relax and be the guests.  Sounds good to me!

I’ll be staying with a guy I met a number of years ago when I was a bartender at the Portland Eagle.  He’s blonde,  blue-eyed and big-dicked…just like I like ‘em.  Handsome, sexy, horny and sweet.  Actually, this will be only the 3rd time we’ve gotten together, but that first and second time were so good!   I’m staying with him 2 nights and 3 days.  I may just want to skip all the events and spend my time with Robert as my titleholder reward!  WOOF

Over 10,000 hits

February 21, 2008 · 4 Comments

While I was gone over the weekend, my visit counter passed the 10,000 mark.  Thanks to all my regular visitors and to anyone else who has popped in to say hello or leave a comment.  I really appreciate your kind attention to my musings and adventures and venting!  Writing this blog is causing me to become an ever-better writer and I am continually spurred on by the knowledge that there is an audience out there, an average of 100 hits a day.

I know I’m a dirty birdie and I talk about my sex life and porn stars and my problems.  Initially, I thought I should remain anonymous, so that people I know wouldn’t stumble across my blog and subsequently judge and gossip about me.  Then I decided, hey…what the hell…people are going to judge and gossip no matter what.  They may as well have their facts correct.

Thanks again for reading, and BIG FURRY WOOF-HUGS.

IBR 2008

February 21, 2008 · 1 Comment

As I mentioned in the post below, my trip to the 2008 International Bear Rendezvous XIV “Bear Patrol - Bears in Uniform” was a whole lot of fun.  If you want to spend 4 or 5 days surrounded by handsome, friendly, furry men it’s the annual event to go to.

The Accomodations

The host hotel was the Holiday Inn on Van Ness, between California and Pine.  Very nice place to stay, and they were extremely accommodating to the bears.  We pretty much owned the place for 5 days.  The very large IBR daily schedule was up in the main lobby and seemingly every single conference room had been turned over to us.  There was a really fantastic “Vendor Maul” with lots of great stuff to buy (and a great place to cruise), the hotel bar and other conference rooms had been turned into hospitality suites and we even had 2 conference rooms that were “screening rooms” for Bearfilms and Cyberbears.  There were a few straight people around who just happened to be staying at the hotel during IBR…you could tell them by their wide-eyed wonder as they got into the elevator surrounded by large furry men - and then entered the lobby to find even more!

Sisterly Love

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence held their traditional IBR bingo on Friday night there at the hotel in a very large ballroom.  It was packed, standing-room only.  It was a great time, hysterically funny with lots of great Bingo prizes.  I didn’t win anything (I never win at Bingo) but my friend Dave won an Iphone in a raffle.

I won’t describe every event, but it was all great:  The concert by extremely talented female celebrity impersonator Mark Alan Smith,  the IBR titleholder contest, the big Saturday night dinner…all of it.  I will definitely go back.

Now on to some things that just had to do with MY particular IBR experience….

A Tale of Two Porn Stars

There were a few porn stars there, I saw several down in the Vendor Maul at the DaddyHunt.com table.  I also saw, up close and  very personal, the pretty big porn star that I filmed a scene with for an upcoming jockstrap-themed Bearfilms.com movie.  He is very pretty and….very….big.  As in well-endowed.  He rode me hard and deep.  He’s a very nice guy, I think the scene will turn out to be pretty hot.  I don’t know the title or the release date and I don’t have any pictures to share from the scene.

The other porn star who made a pretty big impact on me was Allen Silver. He’s done a number of movies, mainly for Pantheon Productions.  He has also appeared in Ray Dragon productions and Titan Studio’s Barnstorm, directed by the legendary Joe Gage.  I’ve been in crazy-lust with this gorgeous, loving man ever since I first saw him on film, and when I saw him in the Vendor Maul, smiling his amazing smile behind the DaddyHunt table, I immediately ran up to him like a kid seeing Santa for the first time.  He came from behind the table and gave me the warmest, furriest kiss I’d had in a long time.  He hugged and held me (I think he knew that I sincerely needed it).  He growled in my ear that I was nice, hot and sexy.  He listened to me talk, and he talked back.  He smiled, he grinned, he made me even more crazy about him than I had been before.

Whew….I only wish I’d had the wherewithal to engage his time and presence as described on his website.

So anyway, where was I?  Oh yeah…IBR.  Those were the major events, I guess.  I had other hot encounters with hot men, but I’m going to keep the details of those to myself.  I will let you know, though, that after one of them was over, I felt like I’d lost my virginity for a second time….woof….so hot.   I only made it out to a bar one time, they were all too crowded.

IBR is a great time.  I am going to start making my plans to go back next year.

I’m back. It was a wild adventure. I have much to tell you about my trip to the 2008 International Bear Rendevous “Bear Patrol”. But I am too tired to write about it at the moment, and so I’m just going to leave you a photo to pique interest in the upcoming post(s):

I’m off to IBR!

February 13, 2008 · 4 Comments

Here’s what’s happening Thursday morning, it’s very exciting:

At 9:00 am I am supposed to be somewhere in North Portland, auditioning for a commercial. It’s a SAG gig, and would be really great to get…it will run on TV and on the internet. I would love to get this commercial…but my plane for IBR leaves at 11:25! SO, I am going to have to TAKE THE BUS to this location in North Portland with my suitcase and all my stuff I’m taking to San Francisco, do this audition, and then grab a cab to get me to the airport no later than 10:30. Can I do it?? It will probably stress me out, but I think if I arrange the cab to pick me up at the audition site at 10:00 I should make it 0k. I can NOT miss my flight to IBR.

While at IBR, I am filming a new porn movie for Bearfilms.com with one of my absolute favorite  porn stars, Nick Horn.  He is so damn gorgeous…blue eyed, handsome, hung…total WOOF. He’s worked for all the major gay studios and directors…and I get to film a scene with him! I saw some new pictures of the beefier bear version of Nick and he is breathtakingly sexy.

I’ll also be doing two photoshoots, one for Bearfilms and the other for 100% BEEF magazine. None of these events will take place until Saturday morning, so that means for my first 2 days at IBR, no orgasms…I’ve got to save the spunk for the movie shoot. Ain’t that a bitch? Oh well, it’ll be worth it!

With all this camera attention looming, I’m starting to feel extremely, well, less than pretty. I worry that my skin looks blotchy and I feel fat. Well, I am a bear, so…I’m supposed to be a tad overweight.  It’s probably just nerves.  I just hope Nick finds me attractive.

Anyhoo, it’s all very exciting. NO, Urspo and Tony, I do not know Jack Radcliffe, have never met him, sadly. He is likely to be at IBR, though, and if I see him there I will have my photo taken with him. And then he will be MINE…but I’ll invite you guys to our wedding.

Good god, so much to do before Thursday morning….Haven’t even started packing and I have to work all day tomorrow, plus I have a dentist appointment.  I may have to call in…I have to get Jesse to his sitter and figure out how I’m going to make this audition and still catch my plane.  OY!

Raybob wants to know “Where do you find Spirit?”

That is a great question! I’ll give the shortest answer to a complicated question that I can. I was raised pentecostal and always believed in that Spirit, aka The Holy Spirit of Acts chapter 2. I no longer believe in that sort of fundamentalist Christianity, thank Goddess.

I have always found Spirit to exist within me no matter what, and I respond in my own Spirit to music, more than in any other way. I believe that music is the language of whatever divinity exists in the universe. I also find Spirit in art of all forms (especially theatre), in my dog, in my dreams, in random individuals I meet. Spirit comes from the most unexpected places…

Mike aka Pistolotto wants to know “Do the notes on your left arm tattoo represent a particular piece of music that you love…?”

Yes, I wanted an armband that no one else had, and so I decided to do a staff of music. It was something I had never seen before, and still haven’t seen on anyone else. I’m glad no one has copied my idea (to my knowledge), but I guess I’d probably be flattered if someone did. The music I chose is the portion of Beethoven’s Ninth commonly known as “Ode to Joy”. I just thought that tattooing everlasting JOY on my arm would be great and that it would remind me to try and live joyfully each moment I have. I almost did Elton John’s “Your Song” instead, but opted for the more classical piece. I may still put the EJ tune on somewhere. left-arm-tat.jpg

OK, it was a dumb idea

February 12, 2008 · 2 Comments

I guess I overestimated the burning desire of the blogosphere to interview me or acquire my deep thoughts on the meaning of any subject! That’s cool. I’ll just sit here and try to look pretty <sniff>.

Since I did promise to answer any questions: To Urspo, the handsome, bearded class-clown in the back row, the meaning of life is 2170338945_7a3e34145b.jpg

Any Questions?

February 11, 2008 · 3 Comments

There’s really nothing to post about right now, so I’m going “open the mike” and see if anybody has any questions at all they’d like to ask me.  I’ll answer ANYTHING.  Don’t be shy, ask away.  Even if it’s not about me, just something you’ve always wanted to ask a person.  No question too personal.

This could be a lame experiment, or it could be fun (if you ask me questions).  I’ll answer them in a follow-up post.

Need a Fun, Summer Weekend? Come to BEARTOWN!

February 7, 2008 · 3 Comments

It’s coming this Summer, and it will be a blast. Portland in June is perfect, unbelievable weather, warm but not too hot…gorgeous. I’ve you’ve never been here and would love a fun Summer weekend getaway, you should really make plans now to come to Beartown 13

bt13_6451.jpg

This event just gets better every year.

CityWOOF wouldn’t lie to ya. Come play with us! It’s also the time of year Portland celebrates its annual Rose Festival (We are the City of Roses), and there is a huge waterfront carnival with an old-fashioned midway, rides, a nighttime Starlite parade, a daytime Grand Floral Parade… and all the hot bear stuff going on. Ask anyone who has been to Portland….it’s a great city, and June in Portland is fantastic. Come to Beartown 13!

No, I’m not on the committee, or the sales team. I’m just an Oregon Bear who loves the city of Portland and is proud of our annual run. WOOF, come visit, you won’t regret it.
