Can’t afford Photoshop - $1200 - so I Google searched the term “Photoshop Alternative” and found this cool, free program called GimPhoto. It does all the same stuff, from what I can ascertain. I have always wanted to do some fun photoshoppy stuff with pictures. I’m going to teach myself how to use this new program and have some fun.
Here’s my first attempt. I snapped a picture of myself, airbrushed out some blemishes and added a bit of text. I haven’t figured out how to do much more than that yet.
Any of my readers know how to Photoshop or Gimshop? I’m anxious to learn.
I may use one of these as a profile photo…I dunno, know, I look kind of craaazy in them. Maybe I am! If any of you are Photoshoppers, please feel free to mess with this image…as long as you show me the result!

Sorry babe, can’t help you here. I know how to open a photo attachgment but that is about it! I like you just the way you are, so I see no need to photoshop yourself. Have fun with it though, it is a new toy!

Hey, thanks for the GimPhoto tip. I don’t have Photoshop either, but would like to learn how to crop and enhance photos too.

Take a look at Photoshop Express. It’s a free, web-based application. You have to upload the photos you want to manipulate on to their website, but then you can do a lot with them. It’s free, but you have to register and is kind of a stripped down version of Photoshop. I have had a lot of luck. It should be fairly obvious on my blog which photos have been “worked on.” All for free with Photoshop Express. If you need some pointers, e-mail me. Here are some examples of stuff I did with it.
