I audtioned for a play yesterday. Got the call today, I am cast. Whoo hoo! It’s my first non-musical role since I played Greta in BENT, circa 1994. I’ll be playing 2 roles in Craig Lucas’ amazing PRELUDE TO A KISS. They are small, supporting roles, but it’ll be great fun. We have our first read-through tomorrow.
It annoys me when people use poor English. It’s cast, not casted. One is cast in a play. You did not casted the dice, you cast them. I hear that shit a lot, even from theater people who should know better. Anyhoo…
The Broadway season starts tomorrow night with A Chorus Line. I was supposed to attend, but I have the read-through. It’s okay, it’s here for a week. I’ll get to see it…I’ve never seen a professional production of that show, really looking forward to it. Gonna be a super-busy period starting up here soon, with work and the show and everything. My life will revolve around theater…and I love it.
I have de-naughtied the blog, in case you hadn’t noticed. I have to not be worried about who might be reading. My blog is SFW once again.
I have new carpet in my apartment, and someone is coming to paint an accent wall on Wednesday, supposedly.
The play is going on the back-burner for a bit, while I rethink some things and flesh out the characters a bit more. They seem one-dimensional to me right now. I’ll pick it back up and keep working on it soon.

I recall seeing a Prelude. it was a thoughtful play that I wish to see again.
Alas, proper grammar and English seem more and more remote as children are less educated.
I fear texting and emails promote quick and poor English

Congrats! Keep us up to date with the production as it progresses. Unfortunately I am not an english expert so you will notice grammmar and spelling errors from me on here but I do my best and have other priorities as we all do, so forgive me when I make those mistakes. Understand about the naughtiness issue, but will greatly miss it, my alias will save himself for other areas of the internet. Big Hug!
